What You’ll Need

  • Your new Boost Mobile device
  • Boost Mobile SIM card
  • Device IMEI/MEID number
  • Your zip code

Before starting, locate the IMEI/MEID number for your device – this is usually found printed on the device box or under Settings > About Phone.

For New Customers

If you’re a new Boost Mobile customer:

  1. Visit the Boost Mobile activation page.
  2. Select “New customer” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Choose “Activate new device”.
  4. Select either:
    • “New number” to get a new phone number from Boost
    • “Port existing number” to transfer your number from current carrier

Activating with a New Number

If going with a new number:

  1. Specify if you’re adding a line to an existing account.
  2. Enter your device IMEI/MEID number.
  3. Select your area code and obtain a new phone number.
  4. Create account details and password.
  5. Pick data plan.
  6. Enter payment details.

It may take up to 24 hours to fully activate. If it is not working after this time, contact Boost Mobile support.

Porting Your Current Number

To port an existing number:

  1. Ensure your account with current provider is active and paid off.
  2. Have your account number and transfer PIN ready.
  3. Select “Port existing number” during activation process.
  4. Cancel account with old provider after activating on Boost Network.

If you already have a Boost Mobile account, the process is even easier:

  1. Visit Boost Mobile activation site
  2. Choose “Existing customer”
