Research Assistant, CANTOS Trial
Izak Shapiro, BA

Brigham and Women’s Hospital
Boston, MA

Izak Shapiro earned his bachelor’s degree from Guilford College, Greensborough, NC, in English and Sociology, in December 2012
and joined the CANTOS team in Boston that following spring.
His key role in CANTOS is to assist sites with recruitment obstacles.

Izak is often the first voice you hear when you call the CANTOS toll-free number.  As one of his primary responsibilities Izak answers and triages calls from site study coordinators.  Izak anticipates the needs of the callers, takes the appropriate action necessary to meet their needs, and continually seeks ways to help CANTOS sites with recruitment.
